What's going on? An update is in order!

Lately, I've been doing a bad job on keeping this place updated. But I do my very best! It's just that life has been crazy. And I'm going to talk about it. At least quickly so you guys are in the loop. Whoever you guys are.

School project went awesomely well

So I had to focus on a school project that was, really, anything I wanted as long as it was a technical feature that I could explore.
So with my good friend Clara, we tried to replicate the pixel physic from Noita on Unity.
And well, usually I talk about stuff here as I can go more in depth but actually. This time around, I update the website first to include my work on it.

In the link bellow you can learn a lot more about it.
Check my pixel physic simulation here!

I made graphics for a game and gained insight

As I teased in my previous blog post, a friend was in need of help for a project that was assigned as he finished his Unity training course.

It went great and I'm very proud of the art! Take a look:

I also made some tile art:

And I imported everything inside Unity and even added some in game/in engine effects:

The ingame results looks really good:

Unfortunately, as of now, I DO NOT have a public link to a build. My creator friend wants to improve the game before releasing it so you only have access to snippets.
Through that experience though, I learned a lot about what it was like to be an artist working on a game. And especially the importance of knowing every feature, from little juicy features to the most important ones. An artist must represent every aspect of a feature visually and on top of that create a world for them to exist.
It's not hard.
IT'S SUPER HARD.

To all game artists out there... I raise a glass of deep respect in your direction.
Now... I know how to make your life easier in the future. And that's the best thing I come out with from that prototype.

Lots of meetings to get a job maybe!

During all that I sent a lot of emails, sending this very portfolio website as well as my background. And it paid off. Only this week. I have three meetings with various companies to see if they'd like me as a dev on their team.
So I have that to take care of that as well! I hope one of them will like me because honestly, they all offer really interesting opportunities.

...And City of Love in all that?

Well even though I don't have a lot of time this week. I have enough time to work on the project and add some feature and work. It will be weird because the project has been on hold for quite a few time now. But it is still my passion project and I made the architecture clear enough to go back into it without it being too hard of a challenge. So expect, if not a big one, a tinsy tiny post about it around the end of the week!

Later gators!
